What are your hobbies and extra curricular activities? Where do you spend your free time? Tell me three of your favorite things (movies, TV show, magazine, sport, color, etc.)
My hobbies and extra curricular activities are working at lionsgate pet hospital and playing soccer. I spend most of my time working and doing homework just because I am so busy. My favorite movie is Step Brothers and my favorite TV show is Family Guy. My favorite sport to play is soccer, but to watch is basketball. I like the color orange and hanging out with my friends!

Who am I presentation

Wednesday, August 28th

Journal - What are some qualities of a good presentation? How can you make a boring presentation interesting? Explain.
I think some good qualities of a presentation are to keep it short and sweet. You don't want it to be so long that it is boring your audience. I think another good qualities is to present like you are having a conversation with another person, not just reading a script. Something else to make a good presentation is to include visuals and then talk about the visuals. Lots of people learn visually and it is easier to tell someone a story when they have something to look at to make a picture of it in their head.

Journal - What is the importance of online safety and protecting your information? What do you do to protect yourself online? Share an experience you or someone you know has had with online safety.
The importance of online safety I think is you don't want people to know so much about you. You should never have your address or phone number on an online site because you never know who is going to be able to get a hold of it. You should keep your information really broad online cause you never actually know who you are talking to anyway. I don't have any personal experiences with problems with online safety but I have seen movies and shows about people who pretend to be someone they aren't. Some will trick people into thinking they are a different gender, age, race, or even post fake pictures of another person. This just shows that you may never know who you are talking to and how dangerous giving out your information can be!

Journal - Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it.
I think that if you post something to the internet then you are giving it out to anyone out their without privacy. Anybody can save your post. On the other hand you shouldn't be able to use another persons post because that would be copy writing and you can get in really big trouble for that.

Journal - Tell me what you know about Web 2.0. List example Web 2.0 sites. Are you on any sites that let you “post” information? What are those sites? How often do you use them? What do you post on them? Web 2.0 sites are website that you can post information onto. Examples of web 2.0 sites are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Email, Myspace, Wanelo, Vine, Google, Youtube, etc. Web 2.0 sites that I use are Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Yahoo Email, StumbleUpon, and Wanelo. I use twitter and Vine the most, I would have to say I at least check it everyday on my phone. I will usually just post on twitter about whatever is going on that day, but I usually just use twitter to read other peoples tweets. I don't really ever post on vine unless I can find something funny to post but I usually just watch others videos!

Journal - After watching the short clip of Ashton Kutcher's acceptance speech what did you take away from his advice? What does this quote mean to you "Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use."
What I took away from Ashton's speech was to not let other influence your life and your decisions. He talked about how being smart is an important trait to have and that you aren't just put in a world that is already been made by other people but to build you own world. He talks about taking opportunities and how it can be portrayed a lot like hard work. He says that because it takes hard work to come upon another opportunity. The quote "Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use." mean to me that you shouldn't be influenced by only others, but be an influence to others. The quote explains what it means to be a leader in a positive way.
